REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) is a nonpartisan committee organized for the specific purpose of raising funds to support political candidates of all parties at the local, state, and federal levels of government. RPAC exists through the voluntary personal contributions of members, their spouses, and families of CRRA. RPAC was established in recognition of the need to increase political activity and awareness among members, and to protect the interest of the real estate industry in the political arena. One of the RPAC goals is to expand the size of its contributing membership. We will accomplish this goal by educating, promoting, and encouraging an understanding of the political/legislative process. Moreover, your membership in CRRA and RPAC provides you the best political representation at the local level, the N.C. General Assembly, and the U.S. Congress. Thank you for your willingness to support RPAC. Please contact the CRRA RPAC director, Elizabeth Barnhardt at 704-940-3178 with any questions, comments, and suggestions NC law requires political committees report the name, mailing address, job title or profession and name of employer or employer's specific field for each individual whose contributions aggregate is in excess of $100 in an election cycle. Contributions or gifts to NC RPAC are not ax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. Federal law prohibits RPAC from soliciting contributions from persons who are not members of the National Association of Realtors®. Thirty percent or more of your contribution will be used by National RPAC for federal campaign purposes, while a portion not exceeding 70 percent will remain in your state political activities. Contributions are voluntary and refusal to contribute does not affect membership rights. A member may contribute more or less than the suggested amount. The portion of your contribution used by the National RPAC will be charged against your individual federal contribution limits under 2USC 441a.
